《Brain Yi 的一家》创作于加拿大温哥华的一个华人移民家庭。夫妇二人为第一代移民，在加拿大相识、组建家庭，并育有两个儿子。通过对家庭成员、日常生活细节以及居住空间的长期观察，作品试图探讨身份认同、情感记忆与家庭关系如何在日常生活中被建构和维系。餐桌上的食物、墙上的照片、家具与物件的摆放，以及空间中细微的生活痕迹，共同构成了一个家庭的生活图景，也记录着移民家庭在异乡生活中的情感联系与文化记忆。
Brain Yi’s Family was created within a Chinese immigrant family living in Vancouver, Canada. The couple are first-generation immigrants who met in Canada, built their family there, and have two sons. Through a long-term observation of family members, everyday routines, and domestic spaces, the project explores how identity, emotional memory, and family relationships are shaped and sustained through daily life. Food on the dining table, photographs on the walls, the arrangement of furniture and personal belongings, and the subtle traces left within the home together form a portrait of family life, while also reflecting the emotional bonds and cultural memories that accompany the experience of migration.
